Assessing Your Claim: Behind the Scenes
Accident Compensation 4 U's Free Assessment: How it Works
The Accident Compensation 4 U Free Assessment is an important stage in the process of claiming compensation for a personal injury.
Our goal is to provide you with the best possible legal advice based on the circumstances of your accident. As a result, our Assessment is thorough from the beginning. When contacting us on 0800 037 1260, or when requesting a call back, you will be interviewed by one of our agents who will gather as much information as possible about your accident, your circumstances and your injuries. Based on this information, we will be able to tell you there and then whether we think you have a claim for personal injury compensation.
We will then pass the details of your claim to a Forum Law personal injury solicitor. Our job is to select the best possible solicitor based on your circumstances and their experience of similar cases.
Next, your Accident Compensation 4 U appointed
solicitor will contact you. Based on the information you have provided:
- They might ask additional questions to clarify some of the details of your claim;
- They will confirm whether they believe you have a good claim for compensation;
- They will be able to tell you how much compensation you are likely to receive should your claim succeed;
- They will discuss with you your funding options depending on whether you have Legal Expense insurance, whether you are a member of a Trade Union or whether your case is eligible for funding under our No Win No Fee Agreement.
All this information will be confirmed to you in writing either via e-mail or by letter.

What to do Once You Have Received Legal Advice
If your appointed solicitor advises you that you have a claim and that it is eligible for funding under a No Win No Fee agreement, you will choose whether to instruct them, in other words whether you would like them to represent you.
Once instructed, your solicitor will arrange, where possible, a home visit to complete an instruction form. During that time, you will be explained exactly what you are signing up to and you will be able to ask as many questions as you like.
In some cases, your solicitor will advise you that they would not be able to take your claim on a No Win No Fee basis. Read more information on when this might happen. If this is the case, you are welcome to seek alternative legal advice from another firm of solicitors.

Assessing Your Claim: Behind the Scenes
How does your solicitor assess your claim? In order to give you sound legal advice concerning your personal injury claim, your solicitor will need to evaluate whether they have enough supporting evidence to win your case. Like any other legal proceedings, the success of a claim for personal injury compensation will depend on the amount and quality of evidence that can be gathered on your behalf to support it.
Part of this evidence will be provided by you during your initial interview. Based on this, on government regulation, on their experience and on other similar cases (Case Law), your solicitor will be able to tell you:
- Whether your claim is likely to succeed;
- How much compensation you are likely to receive; and
- What your funding options are.
For more information, why not start the claim process now by contacting us for your initial interview on 0800 037 1260, requesting a call back or filling in our online claim form.
